Fifteen years of keeping systems running.
Maxpromo Digital is a software consultancy in Essen. We design and build the systems companies run on, and we maintain them afterwards — which is the part that decides whether any of it was worth doing.
Where the experience comes from
Production systems, not prototypes.
Joomla, WordPress, Drupal and TYPO3. Shared hosting and self-managed servers. SQL, migrations, backups and the imports that go wrong at two in the morning. Fifteen years of that is what informs how we build now: cautiously, with a way back, and with someone responsible when it breaks.
What businesses actually need
Most businesses do not need another website.
They need the old system brought up to date, the manual steps removed, and the tools they already pay for connected to each other. A rebuild is sometimes the answer. More often it is the expensive way to avoid a smaller, harder question about how the work moves.
What we do now
We build the systems a business runs on.
The work falls into a handful of shapes. What they have in common is that each one removes a step somebody was doing by hand.

How we work
Four things we hold to.
- The business problem comes first
- We do not start from a technology and look for somewhere to put it. We start from what is costing time and work back.
- The smallest system that works
- A smaller system that a team actually uses beats a larger one that impresses in a demo and is abandoned by March.
- A person stays in the loop
- Anything that leaves the business is drafted and approved. Automation prepares work; it does not act on your behalf unsupervised.
- We stay after it ships
- A system nobody maintains decays. We keep running what we build, or we hand it over properly to someone who will.
